A year or so ago, Jack and I decided to open Backyard
Buddies because of our love of feeding birds and creating a
natural habitat for our friends in the backyard. Over the many
years we’ve enjoyed feeding and watching the birds in our
 backyard,
we’ve learned what seed and other means the birds enjoy and which
ones specifically attract different birds. While seed is the most
obvious attractor, water, moving water specifically attracts birds
in large numbers.
Blue Jays love peanuts so much they come around every morning for
their daily supply.
 If
we haven’t put their required peanuts in their feeders, they sit on
top look toward the house and make all kinds of noise.
There are hundreds of easy ways to attract birds to
your yard. Since we also seem to be one of the favorite yards for
squirrels we’ve learned how to feed the birds and still keep our
seed, suet and feeders away from the little rascals. Come in and
visit our store, whether you’re new to feeding birds or have been
feeding them for years and years we love to hear your stories and if
we can be of any assistance solving your critter problems we’ll do
